Biography Jennie Morgan is a Speech and Language Therapist and Expert Witness with over twenty years of clinical experience, specialising in dysphagia and communication disorders associated with acquired and progressive neurological conditions. Her practice provides a highly specialised foundation for expert evidence in cases where eating, drinking, swallowing and communication are central to the clinical presentation. Jennie brings extensive expertise across a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and dementia. Her work is grounded in detailed clinical assessment and a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between communication and swallowing, particularly in individuals with complex and multi-factorial neurological profiles. In her current role as Dysphagia Lead, Jennie manages complex caseloads across special schools, further education settings and adult care services, working with individuals from adolescence through to older adulthood. She has significant experience supporting individuals with severe and profound learning disabilities, neurodivergent presentations and complex physical health needs, ensuring care is safe, effective and tailored to individual requirements. Jennie has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams across both paediatric and adult services, providing clinical supervision, service development and specialist guidance to a wide range of professionals, including therapists, nursing staff, educators and care teams. Her leadership experience includes coordinating specialist multidisciplinary teams in motor neurone disease, ensuring integrated and person-centred care across health and social care systems. Her clinical practice is underpinned by advanced training in dysphagia management, neurological rehabilitation and specialist voice therapies, alongside a commitment to emotionally informed care. Fully trained in the Civil Procedure Rules, Jennie provides independent expert evidence across both claimant and defendant instructions. Her reports are objective, clinically robust and focused on delivering clear, reasoned opinions to assist the Court in determining matters of swallowing safety, communication, care and long-term functional outcomes in complex neurological cases for individuals aged 16 and above.
