Clare Cole is an Occupational Therapist and Expert Witness with over a decade of clinical experience across acute, community and specialist rehabilitation settings. Her practice is centred on complex neurological and trauma presentations, providing a strong foundation for the assessment of care, rehabilitation and long-term functional need.

Clare has worked across major trauma units, acute mental health services and community rehabilitation pathways, bringing a comprehensive understanding of the full patient journey from acute injury through to long-term recovery. Her clinical expertise includes brain injury, spinal injury, stroke and polytrauma, alongside experience in sensory impairment, including visual conditions and Erb’s Palsy. This breadth enables her to deliver holistic, function-led assessments that reflect both physical and cognitive impact.

Her background includes senior and leadership roles within specialist neurological rehabilitation services, where she has led multidisciplinary teams delivering intensive inpatient rehabilitation for individuals with complex neurological conditions. She has extensive experience managing patients with significant physical, cognitive and psychological impairment, contributing to discharge planning, care package recommendations and long-term rehabilitation strategies.

Since qualifying as an Expert Witness in 2021, Clare has produced over 30 reports, working across both claimant and defendant instructions. Fully trained in the Civil Procedure Rules, she provides independent, objective and clinically robust evidence. Her reports are clear, balanced and focused on assisting the Court in determining matters of care, rehabilitation and functional outcome.
