Biography Doug McQuillin is a highly experienced Expert Witness Occupational Therapist with over twenty years of specialist rehabilitation practice across acute, community and long-term neurological services. He has extensive expertise in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, amputations and complex orthopaedic conditions, working with both adults and children. Doug’s clinical background spans major neurological rehabilitation settings, mental health services and community pathways, enabling him to assess complex, multi-factorial presentations that include cognitive, psychological and physical impairments. He has significant experience managing hospital-to-home transitions, designing structured discharge pathways and coordinating multidisciplinary input to ensure rehabilitation is realistic, sustainable and evidence-based. His leadership includes the development of innovative vocational rehabilitation programmes integrating clinical care with community reintegration and employment pathways. Doug has published in OTnews on vocational rehabilitation practice and has been recognised as a finalist for clinician of the year, reflecting the strength of his clinical impact.
