Biography Rutendo Kadzirange is an Occupational Therapist and Expert Witness with nearly a decade of clinical experience across reablement, community and short-term support services. Her practice spans a wide range of complex adult presentations, including neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury, progressive neurological disorders, amputations and complex orthopaedic injuries, providing a strong foundation for the assessment of care, rehabilitation and long-term functional need. Rutendo brings a detailed and function-led approach to expert evidence, underpinned by extensive experience in managing complex cases involving cognitive impairment, fluctuating functional ability and co-existing mental health needs. She has worked with individuals presenting with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Parkinson’s disease and stroke, delivering structured rehabilitation and care planning to support safe and sustainable independence. Her practice is centred on comprehensive functional assessment, goal-directed intervention and the coordination of care across multidisciplinary teams. She has significant experience developing, implementing and reviewing care packages following hospital discharge, including equipment provision, environmental adaptations and moving and handling planning. Her work includes supporting safeguarding needs, managing risk within the home environment and ensuring continuity of care to reduce hospital readmission. Rutendo also has extensive experience delivering personalised reablement programmes, focused on restoring independence in activities of daily living, community participation and home safety. Fully trained in the Civil Procedure Rules, she provides independent expert evidence across both claimant and defendant instructions.
